Have you any acting experience?
Don’t want to act, but interested in helping backstage, learning about lights and sound management, making props and costumes?
If the answer is YES – get in touch!
No experience? Don’t worry – come along and we’ll help you learn!
Perhaps you don’t have time to get involved in learning a part, but could find time to help in some way. On nights of performances the people who look after the door, sell programmes, make and serve interval refreshment, etc. are just as important and necessary as the actors.
Particularly short of male actors/members, we are always happy to welcome new people and so encourage anyone that may be interested to get in touch.
The Alexandra Players aim to bring live theatre of the highest possible quality to the local area, with a mixture of drama and comedy. Sometimes frightening, amusing and often thought provoking, but always, we hope, entertaining. In 2013 we were honoured to be selected by the Royal Shakespeare Company to be part of their Open Stages Programme, the UK’s biggest amateur theatre project.
In our commitment to continually maintain and improve our quality, we are always eager to welcome new members who thrive on the challenge of testing and extending their talents.
Why not put your talents to the test? Come along and give it a try!
We generally meet at 8pm, every Wednesday at the hall but it is always best to check by getting in touch with us first, in case we are busy rehearsing our next production.
If you would like to know more about getting involved or would like details of our next meeting, drop us a line through the contact form below.
*Please note, membership is not free – an annual contribution of £30.00 will be required.
