It has been a very exciting few weeks for The Alexandra Players.

Following on from the recent success of our production of Cat’s Cradle in February, we are honored and thrilled to announce today that our next production will be an exclusive – not only to us as a group, but to the world of theatre as a whole.

We have been given the magnificent opportunity to bring to you a brand new play called Timeshare – a comedy, written in 2015 by Philip Ayckbourn with farcical elements, which plays with time and relationships.

So new is Timeshare, it has not even been published yet – so you will not want to miss its first ever outing on a city stage as we bring its London and World Premiere to The Alexandra Hall, right here in Charlton.

We will be meeting for read-throughs and casting next Wednesday 23rd March before embarking on 9 weeks of rehearsals.

The play will open on Wednesday 1st June for 4 nights only and the box office will open a few weeks ahead of the first performance.

Last summer, we thoroughly enjoyed working on The Essence of Love, also written by Philip and we were thrilled to meet the man himself when he and his family came along to join us for the final evening’s performance.

Anyone who came along to see The Essence of Love will know what a comical and enjoyable play it was and so we look forward to welcoming you all back for another 4 evenings of spectacular fun and frolics in June.
